yesterday while fishing grapvine between the hours of 2-5pm some low life, scum sucking, POS, SOB ,broke into my truck by busting out the passenger side window, the guy parked right beside me also got his broken out,(red chevy p/u with a lowes trailer)this happened at meadowmere launch ramp,if anybody was there during that time and seen anything please let me know, the officer who took the report was in the area and is a fisherman himself,I think that any info we give him would be followed up on,the sad part is they did $200.00 damage to get $45 worth of stuff that they cant use, while leaving hunreds of dollars worth stuff in the bed of the truck,I have fished the vine for more than 10 years and this is the first time this has happened, but it still pisses you off when it happens to you, thanks to the grapevine PD for their quick responce and I hope they catch these sorry pieces of subhuman garbage.

I will keep my eyes peeled when I am on the Vine. It appears you are putting in on the G-Vine side of the lake. I put in at Murrell Park and have never noticed anything suspicious over there. Murrell seems to be a good place to put in becuase you actually have to go through the guard shack to get to the boat ramp. May be a little out of the way for you, but still would give you a little more peace of mind. Sux that we have to find a "good" place to park while we fish because of some sorry a** POS who likes to take what we work hard for.

Hate to hear that. Hopefully one of us fishermen will catch these punks in the act one day. No need to call the cops then. 5 min "visiting" with that person will be enough to make sure they don't do it again.

my cousins truck got broken into two years ago at murrel park, that was at the old ramp,I have launched there this year but I prefer a dock,I may be going back after this though,I like meadowmere because of the dock and it is close to where I fish,it is also the closest to my house and I dont have to deal with the traffic on 1171,it is just a shock when you open the door and there is glass all over the seat and you think where did this come from?then you see the window gone and want to kill someone, all they got was an overnight bag with a bunch of dirty clouths and a shaving kit in it,they left my check book and a bunch of tools that were in the floorboard,a tackel box,log chain, boomers, jumper cables, fuel cans, and reciever hitchs(it is my farm truck)all in the back,it cost $170 for the window which is now replaced and about two hours to get all the glass vacumed out, just keep an eye out if you are at the lake because it will most likley happen agian.

Would almost be worth the fun to decoy yourself at one of these parks carrying you ccl. Sure would surprise these punks.
