I just bought a used Carrot stick, met the guy at Cabelas and did the deal. I then went into the store to look at lures. I asked one of the rod/reel guys what they were experencing with the Carrot Sticks and he said for a rod costing that much they were getting way to many back broken. Comments????????

Reading on here, it seems there was a problem with some blanks. The good news is you can swap them out a Cabelas should you brake yours. I have not used one, but the seem nice and are light.
made in china but a great rod...sat and had lunch with airrus president yesterday as i had to go to factory to replace rod and it was pouring rains so didnt wanna go outside so we set inside and ate pizza...since ken left airrus he started building the carrot stix and thats how i found out they were made in china..they are seriously great for the money though..i have 3 and i havent had problem...if mine break im switching to the airrus ultra xl line because of same price almost, with a lifetime warranty, rod is as light if not lighter by a hair than carrot stick and factory is hour from house...thats only reason..carrot stick is good rod dont let the cabelas guy get u down....congrats on buy..what model did u buy if u dont mind me asking...i love my 7'3" MH
also sry if sounded like a sales pitch..i just trying to give u my honest opinion on them...they were my all time favorite until i played with the ultra xl yesterday and found out they were made in china...

I got the CLTX-731MH-F-C it's a 7'3" MH fast action and I mounted a Revo SX reel on it. I'm not sure what I'm going to use it for yet. I need a frog rod though.
