According to this website, BigDog is quadruped robot that walks, runs, and climbs on rough terrain and carries heavy loads. BigDog is powered by a gasoline engine and its legs absorb shock and recycle energy from one step to the next. It is the size of a large dog or small mule.

Cool video, but after a few minutes of listening to it's engine, I wanted to shoot it.
