dodge diesel does not make a 5.7 but anything you can put on it is good edge juice or banks anything is good. just for the info 5.9 or 6.7 is all that dodge makes, i wish thaT could afford that for mine.

A little brand advice from years of selling these things wholesale.

Hypertech is best for GM trucks
Superchip is best for Ford. Edge and Banks are great also.
Dodge is a tossup between Edge and Bullydog. I personally perferred The Edge in Dodge trucks. They gave me one for my 04 and it was WAY too much power. I am more than happy with my stock power.

Late to the game but in my opinion from sheer numbers of Dodge owners the Smarty or Smarty Jr is the most popular by far in the forums I frequent. I have a 2000 so I only have the Edge EZ and DonM F1 1.6 injectors.

Though i do not run a dodge i do frequent a few diesel forums for m duramax. And this does seem to be the case. I run a PPE on my truck and have been happy with it. What are you wanting it to do?

if looking at smarty also look into tranny or clutch upgrades as well as lift pump on the other hand if looking for mpg's check out quadzilla's stuff i've got both stacked on 06 dually great fuel economy& unreal power!

With a smarty alone youll be in the 500 hp range. You will need a new lifter pump and clutch or torque converter upgrade possibly some billet shafts. Possbily a new turbo depending on if you use a boost fooler. Smarty's have the lowest EGTS of any tuner out there and have the best milage gains. I prefer a SMARTY stacked with a TST. If you looking for serious power PM me im putting down 893 HP on a everyday driving truck.

I have a Bully Dog. Don't go with a power-pup. They're over-priced. Spend the extra cash and get the triple dog or the PMT (maybe?) with the monitor. Do every thing you can to get those EGTs down..they're your biggest enemy in longevity.

With the Bully Dog and a couple other small mods I'm making around 650-675hp on my 2004 2500 5.9L.

If you do get a Bully Dog..I've honestly seen the best mileage gains in Extreme mode if you can stay out of the throttle and resist the urge to blow smoke. I'm getting around 22-23 on the highway right now and about 19-20 in town...hand calculated (computer is .8 off, high) ..it really lies with how you work the gas pedal.

Call Diesel Dynamics in Joshua and ask for Scott or Creed. They will give you an honest opinion. These guys are great diesel mechanics and will let you know what is best for your p/u
