Does anybody out there have gps coordinates to structures or rigs close to the Matagorda peninsula in the gulf. I just bought a pretty hefty kayak and I was going to attempt to try to go catch snapper or other reef fish out there one day when there are some calm seas. It has a trolling motor mounted to it and I can paddle it a for good way so I probably have a 5 to 7 mile range. I could also use some for Freeport if there is anyone willing to part with this precious information. Thanks in advance......

That is pretty gutsy to get that far off in a yak but I will see what I can find. Just a hint though. Hit the buoys coming out of the freeport jetties for cobia. Bigger, better eating fish and they fight like heck. Those buoys hold some monster ling and sight fishing for them is a blast

That will work. I will give it a try. We caught a few that were a little too small last week at South Padre Island. They are good eating though.
