Lol, chris will be there and he is almost in a stroller , it is cliffs so not too safe for young kids IMO. We'd love to have you but making sure your kids are safe is numero uno your call, there is flatter areas @ Murrel but I am curious how the south shore fishes tonight since it is my goto place

Hey guys, I will be out out at GV tonight fishing for cats and if yall do not mind I may stop by and meet yall as well as learn a few things.

I guess I'll be driving in, I'd Rather not fish GV just because we aren't going To catch anything over 15ish pounds. BUT I do want to see my buddy so 2 1/2 hour drive it is.... See you fags there.

I was there last night and the Police stopped by. Shined a light in my truck then came over and talked me up for awhile. The cop really checked out my gear with his flashlight. He didn't look in my cooler or backpack but the whole time he was talking to me he was looking for contraband. I imagine if I had appeared nervous or giddy he would asked me pop open the cooler.

Nice guy, I appreciated the sence of security.


** on another note, there was also some kind of bobcat in the treeline. It screamed a couple times which made feel a little uncomfortable. As I was leaving out I saw no less than four rabbits. Explains why the cat may be hanging around the area.

lol, that cop is gonna have a lot of gear to look through tonight with all us carpers. I know my stuff alone will keep him busy for at least 30 minutes. I don't have anything to hide so no worries on my end.
I think one of the guys who may show up tonight is a police officer so we may have an inside man

Lol, I'm not even bringing much gear. Honestly I can't be bothered to bring a lot of stuff for a few hours at GV lol.

I think several of my Predators are still rigged so I will just set up those with some leftover boilies or tiger nuts, and maybe some sweet corn on my other rod. Nothing for chum or anything, but I may steal some range cubes from someone lol.

I just loaded the 4 runner and my barrow fits in the back of it fully loaded and tied down. Killa killa! I am bringing some maize and some packbait but no range cubes. I should have enough for everyone for hookbaits, but not chumming

I have some tigers and some boilies, might bring some sweet corn as well if I have any.

Otherwise I'll just pretend my name is Zach, and toss out two rods with big baits and call it done hehehe.

Ok so last night pretty much sucked as far as fish goes. The weather was perfect and I found a spot that I liked. El G, Starless, Tim T., Papa Whiskey, Greg Bowman, xxMikexx and wife and builtforgayfame showed up. Fishing was slow. Kc decided he had a deuce that couldn't wait so told us to watch his rods. Not 3 minutes from him driving off his middle rod's alarm lit up. Greg and I walked over and his swinger was doing the drop back willy so I picked the rod up and set into a buff close to 14#. Kc came back to find one rod up on the bank and another all jacked up from the fish kinda getting caught in it's line. A few hours pass with a couple small kitties for Mike and El G . Kc ends up getting a new PS(personal smallest) buff @ around 4# The night dragged on and the lack of beer made us kinda start messing with each other. Eventually I get a screaming run and hobbled over to my rods and landed a skinny 4-5 common carp. At some point Justin got a run and when trying to get to his rods he did a nice buttplant that I totally missed the fishing sucked but the social aspect is always great.

Yeah, we managed a total of 2 buffs and 1 carp between all of us lol.

Sometime in the middle of the night I had a run, and while scrambling down the infamous cliffs rocks in the dark, slipped on some moss and landed on my butt. Typical hehehe.

I got back up and made it to my rods, and lifted up into a fish that was either a larger catfish or a very small carp, and lost it halfway in, anyway lol.

But it was a fun night nonetheless, even though the fishing was nearly nonexistant.

Great to meet Papa Whiskey and Tim T as well! Bingram, Sulla, sorry you guys couldn't make it man, we'll catch up with you next time!

I actually went out there and camped on Friday night and caught a few catfish , but no carp. I had every intention of staying till Sunday, but something came up Saturday afternoon and I had to head out. Wish I could of met you fellas. We can catch up some other time I suppose.

Fishing wasn't much better on the South Side. Probably had something to do with the huge new dock they drug right into my fishing spot!! Fished from 5pm to 8pm and caught 2 small commons (under 10lbs) and a bunch of catfish.

We did good in houston =p.... Not that its a competition or anything but check my post about small pond big fish and a full moon! Sorry it was a wash out guys. Like i always say though you can't win if you don't play.( Not to mention that we still get excited about anything above 9 pounds, good to be new i guess)
