Me and a bud have decided to head up to Athens in the morning. I fished for bass their but never bream. We'll be taking a bunch of crickets with us but don't know were to try. Any ideas. In exchange the Brazos river at the 2114 bridge has been producing very good numbers of quality long ears and some nice Chanel cats. the water is shallow enough to wade in with no prob and you can park their at Dicks Place/ River Place Pottery just be shore to let them know your their before walking down to the water.. Here's their number 254-622-8346

Thanks Dean

Fish the deeper docks. As the sun gets high, get your bait into as much shade as you can. I was shooting small jigs (1/32) last summer and did well. With crickets, use as little lead as possible and no bobber. Shoot it back and watch your line as it sinks. Retrieve slow to keep it near the bottom for bigger fish.
