Can't be from Kistler because people are getting their rods replaced and are real happy with the customer service. smile

BTW - I don't own one, but they sure feel good. I checked them out at Cabela's and when I went back a week later, the 4 or 5 they had were gone.

The last thing I'll add is you should judge a company by how the handle their problems. Every company will have problems and it's how they handle these problems that separate the great from the good from the terrible (you know, the company that requires you to know the secret hand shake and call the owner to beg for the same level of service all his competitors provide as standard).

I had two LTA Helium rods break, left two messages with Kistler and never a response. Good customer service?

Granted, I bought them from an individual, Lake Fork Guide Jason Hoffman. They were new and in good condition. Both tips broke, one on a hookset. The most brittle rods I've ever seen in my life. So, perhaps they were not covered or they didn't want to help me out, but a simple call to tell me so would have went a long way. Can't really see myself buying another in the future.

Maybe I'll by a few Carrot Sticks!

Matter of fact I did, and I went and re-read it since your last remark and I still don't see where anyone has mentioned thier warranty policy. Maybe you will be kind enough to quote it with your next reply.

Got an email back finally. Wow awesome warranty!

"Lifetime warranty over the counter warranty against material manufacturing defects."

"You can either return the broken rod back to the place of purchase for an immediate replacement, or if it is by mail warranty you need to cut the area containing the decal from the rod and send it along with a check for $30 to the warranty center to cover shipping and handling of the replacement rod"

And thank you kindad101. I think you might find this part interesting

War-ran-ty: a written guarantee given to the purchaser of a new appliance, automobile, or other item by the manufacturer or dealer, usually specifying that the manufacturer will make any repairs or replace defective parts free of charge for a stated period of time.

You really can't go wrong with either. I've got some Falcon Caras and some Carrot Stix and I like both brands. I'm not sure which Falcon is their Flipp'n rod, but Carrot Stix has a 7'6' Heavy that seems like it would be good. grin

I'm also in the market for a new flippin stick, which carrot stick would be best for flipping with 30lb braid?

I've narrowed it down to carrot stix or a falcon too, I haven't been entirely impressed with sensitivity of the couple falcons I own.

Crankbait is a reaction strike and flipp'n is more of a feel game. I would definately go with the flipp'n rod in a carrot stix. my .02
