Take a Soldier Fishing- Lake Fork Sept. 27,2008

Lindale BASS Club is hosting a Take a Soldier Fishing event on Lake Fork (Lake Fork Marina) September 27,2008. We are inviting 100 active duty military personnel out for a day of fishing and relaxation. We are having a fish fry/social for the soldiers and boaters on Friday night, putting the soldiers up in lodging Friday night, and fishing on Saturday. Lunch will be provided by Chick-fil-A on Saturday. If you are active duty military or if you have a boat and would like to take a soldier out on the water please log on to Takeasoldierfishing.com, lindalebass.com, or etcba.com and sign up or find out more information. You can also call 903-216-4578 or email lindalebassclub@aol.com.

I just noticed that there are other TASF events listed here on TFF that are also in need of boaters. Please come out and help us support these soldiers as much as you can. If you can't make it to our event please help support the other events if possible. We are not making a penny on this event, just trying to say "Thank You" to the men and women protecting our freedom.

I'm not a tournament fishermam but this ol 1 legged Nam vet has a nice Champion and has been known to catch a few bass, I'd enjoy taking another vet fishing.

We will try to fish for whatever the soldiers want to catch. This is not a big time tournament but rather a day of fun for the soldiers. We are giving away small prizes for biggest crappie and biggest catfish.

It looks like a conflict of the non fishing kind. I have to be in Dallas at 3:30 in the afternoon. What time is the event over? My wife and I both thought this sounded like a good event. The problem is she has had this thing in Dallas scheduled for several months now. The timing isn't right for me to be in two places at the same time. I'll make it if I can.

The first flight is scheduled to come in at 3:00. We could probably find a soldier that wouldn't mind coming in a little early if needed. Let me know if we can help you work anything out.
