What is the best time of year for hybrids on lake belton?

Most consistent is Apr-June. They can be caught almost anytime though.

Most consistent.......didn't know they were ever consistent............they are very difficult fish to find. best way is to go fish for other species and get lucky.........they are very elusive for some of us......

well BB me and dad may take a roadtrip to Cabelas tomorow. going to get a new FF. lookin at the Eagle 480 with temp or the 480 with GPS. probably the 480 with GPS. we get that humminbird piece of [censored] off our boat and we may be able to catch some fish.

well BB good night headed to Cabelas tomorow after work. sometime around mid mornin. they are startin to get REAL busy at the shop so dad has to go in tomorow mornin to get the guys goin then we are gone.

We made it safely, but took a bit of time due to road construction and traffic accidents. Seen a rainbow(it's been awhile), and more rain on the long bridge on I-10 in an hour than I've seen in Copperas Cove the first half of the year.. LOL

I agree that Apr-June is prime time for Hybrids unless your lucky as I to have Kristy on board! She catches fish no matter where or when she goes fishing..

yep, just go crappie fishing, and you'll catch hbrids..then pm me where you caught the crappie

Good morning BB. We went out last night. Started out and ended up staying on the flats till about 2 this morn. Heidi caught a nice LMB and 2 crappie, I ended up with 3 crappie. Those were the keepers. We lost a couple, and threw back @ 10 small crappie, catfish and whites.

We also understand more why it is called "terminal tackle". We initially tried to drift / troll, but spent so much time hung up that we finally anchored. I did not realize until last night that there was so much brush, etc on the flats.

We will most likely head back out tonight to give it another shot.

F4F, I hope that you have a current visa in hand for the return trip! LOL

Lots of boats out this morning . Been doing a little glass work on mine . Nothing better than grinding fiberglass in 100 degrees.

thats an ugle job...used to do that with my surf boards...wear a mask and maybe a body condom
