Heading out to Belton, maybe I'll see somebody out there that knows where the fish are at!! Tried last night at TLP and only undersized Hybrids.....

Bout to head out to the lake and troll around to try and find some fish. Maybe with a little luck we'll both boat a couple

All work and very little time for fishing... I did get out Friday for 2 hours @ Gtown. We caught about 5 hybrids and 20 whites...the biggest Hybrid was 22 inches. My wife now has the lake record for crappie. She caught it on a slab spoon while fishing for hybrids @ Lake Gtown. Records link clicky    Congrats!!!! BTW your 22" hybrid just might have been a record too  Thx... Good eye, the 22" hybrid was a record caught out of my boat but it was caught by a friend from out of town...if submitted that record would not likely be there very long... I believe its hotter at the farm. I think I'll take Sallysue ,icechest , 2 other dogs and moma out for a boat ride.

Isn't 5 Hybrids on Georgtown good.......I met a guy out there once and he kinda down played the lake as being a good Hybrid Lake. We did have a tough time untill we foung the whites down past the swimming area,,,,,,then the fun was on.... I've had a tough time with the hybrids on Gtown...in the 80's we tore them up. These were caught in the Russell park-Jim Hogg area...I tried the dam but didn't mark anything in that area. There should be some big hybrids there by now. The only problem is the lake level is very low these days.

well BB dad is Grillin some Reds. lucky sucker it was damn good too.   now the Dust Bowl dun blowed in. i was on the mower and there was enough dust blowin already when the 40+ MPH winds came in it turned my brown boots to white and my Wranglers to white also. its blowin out there. they said the storm is at Lott and you can almost see Lott from my house.

We're Back!! What a ride 10+ hrs drive.  Congrats to Bobbie on the New Lake Record! One big YeeeeeHawwwww!! We got hit by the strong winds between Sommerville and Cameron, that sucka was a blowing the Suburban all over the road! No rain here in Cove, nothing new!!

Good Morning Belton Bunch!
The moon phase is perfect for fishing! All week is going to bring in quantities of good fish. The question is, can you brave the heat! No fish on Belton wife caught everyone of them last night. Well there might be some goos still. 1 black dog,1 ice chest , 2 more dogs that bsrk when they need to pee, and 1 wife that don't know when to guit might go again today.
