I was running across Lake Lewisville on the west side of I35 Lake bridge and my XPS double sided lure box flew out. My son told me he saw something fly by him, and then later when I couldn't find my box I put 2 and 2 together. One side was full of jigs and the other was full of rattle traps. It's probably gone but thought I would put the word out anyway in case someone finds it. Here is a link to what the box looks like. Thanks.

What a nice gesture. I appreciate that but I mainly fish soft plastics anyway. The thing that really hurts on this deal is it took me a while to accumulate what I had in that box, wife don't understand spending money on that stuff argue If anyone finds it I can tell you what brand of lures were in it. I don't know if it would have sunk or floated to shore. It fell in the drink once before and it floated, but may not last an extended stay in the water. I have been a cotton headed ninny lately.

i did the same thing one time - box flew out and opened up when it hit the water. had crankbaits, traps, topwater stuff. i was circling for 10 minutes scooping up stuff that was floating around.

i'll keep an eye out as well.

Scott, I was closer to the south bank side headed back toward the bridge. It is most likely gone for good. I will be surprised if I ever see it again.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I am sure you had some "favorites" that will be hard to replace.

Be safe,

Gary,
What kind of soft plastics, brand, style, and color? I have a few binders full of plastics(craworms, lizards, trick worms, finesse worms, etc) that I have stocked up on in the last few years.
I don't live around Lewisville(in fact I am north of houston), but I might can get some of these soft plastics to you.

Oh the things I've lost over the years:

A 5 gallon bait bucket flew out of the boat, we turned around to watch it sink - now we fill them with 6 inches of water when running, and I put foam pipe insulation on the handles so they float, haven't lost one since.

Hats blowing off - lost count.

A cooler full of tackle, pliers, etc... who knows what else - flew out of the boat going down the highway somewhere. Don't carry coolers in the boat on the road anymore unless they're tied down and top secured shut.

Jumped in swimming one time and felt something hit my back. A few hours later I realized it was my wallet.

I think the best one's when my son lost his swimming suit in the tube on a wave last year. Always carry a spare.

That last situation is one I can almost fully relate to, caught it on my legs.

I appreciate that. There have been several that have offered to help out and that really means a lot to me. I appreciate everyone's kindness, but I have plenty of plastics and other lures to get me by. I just lost all my jigs and rattle traps, but I can make do until I get more. Thank you all so much for offering.

Would be kind of like the Old Texoma Plano Tackle Box Drop.

2 weeks ago, I had a soft sided tackle bag come un-zipped on the highway and lost my Rat-L-Trap box. When I got home that evening, I asked the wife to look in the bilge area. Sure enough it was in there!
