My 16 yr old, Tyler, and I out did ourselves again.
We hit Lake Austin at 630am and as soon as we left the boat ramp in our yaks, I broke my rod, which left me with 2/3's of my rod.
We paddled up the Lake and I had 2 pretty good hits, and lost them, finally I caught a 1lb 13" Bass, released to grow up nice and big, and fight another day. we moved on.
I heard Tyler yelling and I hurried to help him, when I arrived he was battling a 4lb 20" Bass,... then he hooks into another one, a small Bass 1lb 12", and told me to come fish over with him.
So I go over there and on my 1st cast, low and behold I hook into an 8lb 25" Bass of a lifetime, a behemouth, what a Monster, I still can't believe it, and to think I caught this Giant on 2/3's of a rod
We were using Green Pumkin 4" Tiki Sticks by Wave Worm, Texas rigged and slaying them, what a thrill.
So we have new personal Bests, I have a broken rod, which I'll return to Academy.
But I don't have any pictures as Best Buy or Worst Buy as I call them now, still has'nt fixed or replaced my camera yet.
All in all a fabulous day and something I'll never forget untill I break this personal best
Left the Lake at 3pm, with memories that will last a lifetime
