Our wives are going out of town on a religious retreat in August. We have a Thursday to Sunday time slot to fill the last week of August with Western Trout fishing. Looking for the names of lodges / guides that you would recommend for a moderate trout fishing adventure. Moderate is like pornography, I do not know how to define it, but I know it when I see it.

Would love input from those that have been there and done that!

Consider the San Juan river below the dam. Terrific trout fishing...at least when I've been there which wasn't in the last two years. I always stay at Abe's and use "Born and Raised" guides.

Not a lot of night life around there...but the trout fishing can really be terrific. Very small flies like # 20, 22 and smaller.
