Not that it helps much at this point with Dolly in the Gulf but, we basically slaughtered the fish for 3 days straight out to 43 miles.

We caught Snapper limits to 19 lbs every day, plenty of lanes and vermillion snapper mixed in. Keeper ling, Dorado, Baracuda, shark, jack, amberjack, triggers and grouper mixed in.

On Sat we had 3 boat go out together and we added Wahoo and Kingfish to that list above with everyone catching a lot of fish.

Most fish were caught using live piggies and hard tails inlcuding the large Sow Snapper. We also caught fish on Snapper slappers tipped with squid and sardines. Few fish caught on ribbonfish for the first time in my life. Dorado were caught trolling on plugs or sight casting with swim baits.

I will post some pictures as soon as I can.

Looking for some more flat seas soon!

I was just fishing with some friends on my boat.

On my boat is cost about $250/day to go fish out there. That includes fuel, bait, ice, drinks and snacks. We fished at least 25 miles out everyday with 38 miles being the furthest we went. That was at Big Southern. The current was really too bad to fish there. Inside of 25 miles the current was not bad at all.

Where are you located. I'll be at Port A 8/10 thru 8/15. For $250.00 a day I would sure like to go out.

I am in Ft Worth but, I don't do charters or anything. I just fish for fun. I was just telling the guy above what it costs to run my boat for a day offshore!!

If I ever need some more crew to fish I will make sure and post something up though!

8-10 through 8-15 should be enough time for the good water to get back close. Right now it is nasty with debris everywhere. I here blue water is 40-50nm out. It should only take 7-10 days to return based on what I am seeing though.
