Probably caught over 30 fish in 4 hours.

Nice fish caught this morning, it put a hell of a fight:

Now onto momma, this probably was one of the most fun fish I have ever caught, it was like fighting a freight train, he did not want to come into the boat.

I too am curious about how you caught those beauties (what depth, fly, rod, etc). I'll bet after your post the other day about that old ratty boat you're about ready to buy it for good luck!

Congratulations on your fine catch. Keep those great pics coming.

It is late july. You aren't supposed to catch bass like that when it is this hot.

Looks a little like south lake, but it doesn't have any hydrilla.

Chocolatelabs I think you might be the kind of person to tell a bumblebee he shouldn't be able to fly just so you can watch them crash! smile

no I am just jealous that is all. Last time I went bass fishing i got nothing. My excuse was that it's hot and they aren't biting.

what did that big one weigh.

Here is the secret weapon: (fished at a depth of 10-12' right on the edge of some hydrilla')

I didn't have my scale with me, but I am pretty sure he would have gone 5-6lbs.

Oh and both were caught on an Orvis TLS 9', 6wt with a sinking line.

I am tying up some sinking leeches/boogers this afternoon & have already put 10 feet of sink tip on my line...so it appears I may be on the right track...hopefully I'll have a fraction of your luck & I'll be happy...very nice fish btw

Nice looking fish.

That fly looks like the holy grail of plastic worm inpersonations. Do you have any details about its construction?

Good golly what a fish. I bet that fish put up a decent fight. I think I would faint if I pulled one in that big...hehehe.

Well, I was so giddy and shaking, I almost dropped the rod into the water!

Edit: I went back this morning and caught 2 decent fish, will post pics a little later.
