http://www.mexiadailynews.com/local/local_story_192130730.htmlNot one, not two, but three fishing tournaments are scheduled for Lake Limestone on Saturday, July 26.
It’s all for the family!!! - described as a total family outing.
Joe Reid, the “Shrimp Boil Man,” is putting on these tourneys - all the same day - while providing “fun for the whole family.”
The fishin’ will be at the Lake Limestone Marina, and is sponsored by Texas 99.1-Honey Hole All Outdoors TV Kid Fish Derby - the second annual one.
It’s all free, says Reid, representing Texas 99.1. All of this includes the bait, tackle, hotdogs and sodas. Plus, there’ll be prizes.
The Kid Fish Derby is the first phase of the all-day fishing, and everything for the Kids Derby is free.
The second phase is the Big Bass Classic, the second annual one. First place will bring $100 for the winner; $50 for second place fish (the weighing is each hour for seven hours); and $2,000 for the Overall Big Bass (top five places’ distribution). Some 150 entries are expected.
The third tourney phase is the first annual Sand Bass Classic. Each hour, there will be prizes - $50 for first place, $25 for second place (weighed each hour). For the top five places, based on 100 entries, prize money totals $2,000 for the top five places.
