Get a suite at the Ritz Carlton and dinner at Fearings OR get a suite at Hotel ZaZa and dinner at Dragonfly. Or just google Dallas Boutique Hotels and get yourself a romance package.

Give her a "Date in a bag" as I call it. Buy her a nice pretty dress, shoes, and some "undergarments" if you dare. Get a gift certificate to a day spa for pampering and then a salon to get "done up" with hair, makeup, the works. Put all of these in a really nice gift bag and give it to her on say, Monday or Tuesday. Tell her that her appointments at the spa and salon are for Saturday and she needs to be home and dressed ready by 7pm. That's ALL the information you provide her with. When she arrives home all dolled up and after a day at the spa etc., you take her for a nice dinner at a place where YOU have to dress up too (like coat and tie). Perhaps afterwards, you take her to the opera, maybe dancing at a nice club, or take her to her favorite event/place she likes to go. The whole time, never tell her where you are going, just make the whole evening a surprise. It doesn't hurt if you want to be cheesy like me and when you pick her up, have one of those build-a-bear teddy bears YOU'VE made just for her to give her as a gift. Alright, now that I've shown you all how cheesy I can be, I'm here to tell ya its worked every time I've ever done something like this for my lady. They have always liked this and the fact I took the time to prepare all of this for them. I earned major brownie points for later on when we get home and I crash on the couch watching the outdoor channel! I'm sure plenty of you have comments for my "sensitive" side and I'm sure you will ask for my man card...

Tell her you love her, at random times. Hug her close and look into her eyes when you tell her.
Bring her breakfast in bed, something light, like croissants and fresh fruit.
Jump into the shower with her and bathe her.
Buy some almond oil, warm it up, and give her a massage after the shower. Tall, that just made me feel icky reading something like that from you. Other than that, EXCELLENT advise!!

Every once in a while, I will just spend a day calling, texting or emailing my wife two words at random times throughout the day. Eventually she gets tired of hearing it and leaves me alone.
What words you ask?
When's dinner
Nothing says romance like finding out when you're going to get fed.

I ain't been married for 30 years just by accident. Here's another one--the Messina Hof winery in Bryan, TX, used to make personalized labels for bottles of wine around Valentine's Day. I don't know if they still do it, but buying some bottles of wine with personalized love notes was a hit in my house. http://www.messinahof.com/
