our neighbor has had a 1969 Glassmaster tri hull, with a 1969 johnson outboard sitting on his land for 8 years now

well, he gave it to me, and if i can get it running, what steps do i have to take to get it current on registration and title.

the last time it was registered was 2000...

he cant find any of the title paperwork yet, but hes still looking...

any advice you can give would be great, my email is cja1975a@yahoo.com

thanx,
Chris

If your neighbor can't find the titles for boat and motor, he will have to file for replacement titles from TPWD. Once he has the titles back, then he can gift the boat to you. Without titles, you will not be able to register the boat.

I was in line waiting to transfer title on my boat at TPW and a guy in front of me was in the same boat as you (no pun intended).
They would not look up any information and told him he would have to call Austin for assistance. Good luck with that...
