Heard conflicting opinions on whether to fish prior to a storm ,during rain or just after. Some say right after, some say right before, my personal experience, in general, after rain caught more fish.While it is raining, seems to me all fish stop biting. What is your experience? Thanks;

I've done all three----The rain isn't the problem--it is the wind and lightning.

I recently had one of my best days ever while fishing in the rain.

Fish are already wet so they don't care...j/k
Seriously, we;ve done good in it, before and after...
My favorite fishin is on a river after a good rain...muddied up water was what we used to live either runnin' lines or r/r.
Some of the best fishing to be had..same can be said for lakes if you can find where there's a run off into the lake...you'll catch some good fish.
I always like to fish flooded banks with grass as well.
Not sure if this exactly what your looking for, but yes fishing is good before and after and during.

Ive done all 3 also ,in my opinion it is better the 2 or 3 hrs. before but if its not dangerous because of wind or lightning im staying without a doubt,we have stuck some big ones in the rain.

rain is hard to beat. they seem to go on a frenzie in bad weather

hillbgcntry,I tend to agree a lot of with your comments. Muddy water, flooded grass bank after rain seem to attract a lot of big cats.

Right before and during the rain I feel is the best time also. Have had the cats really biting like crazy.

i caught a nice one today after the storm while bass fishing a pumpkin/chart lizard t-rigged. weird

So far for me, fishing in a light rain was one of the best days ever. Had enough fish that I did not need to go back and try again after the rain...lol!

I spent a couple of hours on Calaveras yesterday afternoon late...real slow and that was before the rain. Caught a few, but tossed them all back.
