Going to visit family at RC next week and wondering how the fishing was. Never been on the lake so anything would be helpful. Also, anywhere to steer clear of?

I don't know how the fishing is in RC but I'll tell you something that works well in lakes,If you go to Acadamy, look for the zoom worms by finesse, and the worms that work best from them are RedBug,WatermelonRed,JuneBug,or Kiwi.So what you do is put the worm on a size 2 hook. When you tie the hook leave about 6 inches of string left, then tie a weight about the size of a dime on there, don't no what the weights are called, then throw the line out,let it sink to the bottom, then just jiggle the end of the rod, this rig is called the drop shot.It works for in the morning and catfish at night.you can also catch bass in the evening.Yesterday my brother caught an 8 pound bass of the red bug.GOOD LUCK AND LET ME KNOW IF IT WORKS!

Deep humps, ridges. DD 22's and C rigs for better quality. Found most shore vegitation had tons of Juvie bass.

All my summer tournies on RC needed 20+ to win and high teens to get a check. 28 lbs on the first and 23 on the last one.

50 teams on average. paid 10 spots on averg.
