Hey guys,
never fished the lake and am going to be down there for a couple days and will get out fishing a couple times.

Can anyone offer any suggestions as to species and where to go?

Fish the river with soft plastics. You will get tired of reeling them in.

If you just want to go out and catch fish, go get some minnows and fish the bridge pilings. You can catch catfish, whites, Largemouth, and crappie vertical fishing the bridge....
