My family had a lakehouse on Lake of the Ozarks, and I'd go up there twice a year to fish for a week. Did that for 16 years till they sold the house.
I'd stay away from the southwest part of the lake, by the dam, around Osage Beach. WAAAYYYY too commercial and full of cigarette boats.
Our house was in between Laurie and Gravois Mills, on the Gravois arm of the lake, up north. Great fishing up there for bass and walleye, especially an area called Indian Creek. I caught an 18 lb flathead catfish on a Bill Dance Fat Free Shad right at the mouth of Indian Creek.
Basically we would work boat docks and marina stalls, and points off creeks with crankbaits and soft plastics, like Berkely Power Baits.
