I didn't fill my opening this morning so I took Abby out to Grapevine. We got started about 8:00 and wrapped things up by 11:30 We finished the morning with 37 keepers, including 15 blues up to 5 lbs. Of course Abby caught the biggest fish this time! SHe had fish coming into the boat before I could get 3 or 4 rods in the water. All fish were caught on Secret 7 Dip Bait by Team Catfish. I'll get some photos posted later this afternoon of the catch.
I have openings next weekend for either Lewisville or Grapevine. We're on a pretty consistant pattern on both lakes right now.

I do offer trips on Grapevine. The lake is pretty easy to fish and can produce some good action for both channels and blues.
I still have openings for this Saturday and Sunday (26th and 27th) for either Lewisville or Grapevine. We're still catching plenty of fish in the mornings and getting off the water before noon.

....We're still catching plenty of fish in the mornings and getting off the water before noon. Your a brave soul if you stay out till noon on a weekend  . Stayin shallow in flooded timber discourages the idiots and jet fleas. At least the ones with a brain. Denton/Marshall creek areas are my usual stomping grounds for kittys. So far my biggest on the Vine is a 20lb blue twice. Hope I run into you sometime out there. Maybe I can pick up some pointers from your daughter.

I had Wayne and Pat from Baton Rouge fishing with me this morning on Grapevine. They finished the morning with 37 channel cats and one blue. Pat set her personal best today with a blue that weighed in just over 29 lbs. All fish were caught on Secret 7 dip bait and fresh shad. They had a great time despite the hot weather and are already planning a return trip in the fall. Pat and her PB blue:  The Keepers:

Thanks Bama. That fish looked to be bigger than 29, but the body was pretty thin. I'm sure it will put a little more meat on by winter. It was still a great fish though. She had a smile on her face for the rest of the trip and probably all the way back home.

thats a pretty good blue there! i bet they had a good time. what depth/area were you fishing? i cannot tell from the picture you have of here wiht that blue.

obviously i would say somewhere in the 2-4' range by looking at the "portable trees" but the area doesnt look familiar. just curious is all
