Nice catch. I'll be on the look out for your rod if I catch a fish with one attached. Which, I have done before on Grapevine. That one would have made a good meal.

nice fish, congrats. I've lost a pole or three myself and I know how it feels.

Yeah but if you throw them back then the next generation of fishermen can catch one that size maybe your sons or grand kids. If you keep them all there wont be any big fish left. Keep the small ones there are lots of thoughs.

Are we getting short on fish? I'm a personal strong supporter of catch and release, especially with a larger fish such as this one, but so what.

I'm soooo jealous. We were out there Sunday evening and only caught and released 6 small sandies too small to keep. We are new to fishing Grapevine and just have not had much luck. Can you recommend a good place that the kids are sure to catch? (fyi...we are in a 20ft pontoon)

I used too, but there are better tasting fish outhere. Tritonman, I remeber seeing you and your buddy out there and appreciated the jester. I was about to get like Mike Iaconelli and start break dancing on the small deck I have. All in all it was a tough and pissed off day, bang realmad but that beauty made it all worthwhile. As far as losing the pole, yeah it sucks, but I think I can convince the wifey to let me get another one. woot I am not really a bass fisherman, but with fish like that I might have to step my game up. And as far as keeping bass, my take is if it a legal fish, who cares if someone wants to harvest there catch. But that is another argument for a different day.

Did you lose your rod in the same area we saw you? If so I'll be on the lookout for it, and let you know if we snag it. Really great seeing you catch that pig, and I'm glad someone was catching that day. thumb

Yeah it was in the vicinity. A little more south, right off the area of the parking area. If you snag it, let me know. I have put a bounty out on that fish. hung

Very nice fish. Congratulations and thank you for returning her to the lake. As a strong supporter of catch and release, we need to remember that fish like that are the future of our lakes. We need to protect our resources and insure that our lakes stay healthy and well-stocked.

Dirt, go to the Island around 100 ft. out on the NE side around 7:30 pm and you will see it's time for supper! thumb

It's amazing how the whites turn on at that time and you will have all the Sandies you will need!
