...I made 3 variations of a woolley booger for bass fishing, not sure which one will work best (if at all), I need start putting lead thread on these to weight them, also thinking of longer tail feathers kind of a psuedo-plastic worm look...oh boy, this fly tying isn't saving me any money, but its killing lots of time.

Nice looking boogers.

If I were a bass, I'd pick #3. The tail on #1 looks too sparse. #2 looks too bushy, but might look better when wet.

I am with Grashpr9 "#3" gets my vote as most likely. #s 1 and 2 should produce also thumb Great job on the flies. I need to get some tied up for me. I have been tying flies for my white bass/ hybrid buddies to use while slabbing.

All of those make me salivate but my vote is on number one. I think 2 and 3 will most likly get the needle tail action in the water. The silly legs may spread out inbetween strips though.

Nice flys Im jealous.

Only after extensive field testing will the results be known. You are obligated to fish each bugger 100 times and log the results.

LOL

I imagine that each might out perform the other two depending upon the circumstances and the "whims" of the fish. The only fish I caught all day yesterday were on little foam spiders. All other offerings were followed and inspected but ultimately "dissed".

I have no idea which bugger will be better. Two is the famous one, and will produce. The other two look very good to me. I like the bottom one... you will have to FISH THEM, and POST THE RESULTS PLEASE. I cannot wait to see what did the best, but one day will not tell you that really. Try three outings, then let us know....after each.

Nice job....for a little variation and a fish killing action....try putting a bead or conehead on a few of them...for some unknown reason, that has been one of my best flies for big catfish...

The bottom one interests me the most, I can see where working that fly through the current over rocks in a river or creek might be killer! I think I would add lead eyes over the bend of the hook in hopes that it would make the fly run deeper and hook-up..
