With the full moon, I decided to sleep in a bit and look for the late morning bite. That part went right. But the target fish was hybrids and the actual fish turned out being largemouths.

Since I couldn't find any fish on slabs or Humdingers, I went to the DD22 troll. Here's the results :
Fish 1 : 11:00 AM on a DD22 at 17ft. The seat is 20" across, so this was a 21-22" fish, I'd estimate 5 lbs (no scales, dangit).

Fish 2 : This fish was a double with Fish 1, but caught on a DD14. Fun little scramble to get both fish aboard. About an 18" fish, maybe 4 lbs.

Fish 3 : 11:30 AM on a DD22 at 18 ft. The net measures 18" across, so I'd say an 18" fish and maybe 4 lbs

Fish 4 : 12:00 Noon on a DD22 at 15 ft. This one put up a great scrap. The net measures 19.5" from the handle screws to the opposite side, so I'd say this was about a 22-23" fish and maybe 5.5 to 6 lbs - - was bigger than the first fish.

Then they shut off. Otherwise, the trip yielded 2 sandies and zero hybrids. But I'm not too upset about that.

Hope you guys don't throw me off the stripers/hybrids/sandies board for posting all these pics of the wrong color fish.

Maybe next time I can find the target fish!
