Nice fish! Looks like a legal catch to me - I don't care what you did with it. I don't get why others feel the need to be giving you c r ap about it.

Sorry to hear about your lost rod. Hope you get it back. At least you have a nice fish to show for your loss. Hey, I am curious, though, why is your fish on a stringer. If your livewell is anything like mine, then it's probably too small to hold this bruiser.

Nice - - very nice! The largemouth seem to be more hungry than the sandies and hybrids my last few trips out. Fun to catch big ones no matter the type.

Well to address everyone's ? I was thinking about fileting that bad boy after that s.o.b. fish jerked my pole in the water. But then I stuck to my original plan and decided to let this fish go. I was just keeping it on the stringer to take a picture. I don't have a livewell, and I string up my fish if I change my mind and don't want to keep any. I don't eat largemouths (anymore). I used too, but there are better tasting fish outhere. Tritonman, I remeber seeing you and your buddy out there and appreciated the jester. I was about to get like Mike Iaconelli and start break dancing on the small deck I have. All in all it was a tough and pissed off day, but that beauty made it all worthwhile. As far as losing the pole, yeah it sucks, but I think I can convince the wifey to let me get another one. I am not really a bass fisherman, but with fish like that I might have to step my game up. And as far as keeping bass, my take is if it a legal fish, who cares if someone wants to harvest there catch. But that is another argument for a different day.

Info fisher,
Fantastic Fish! Hopefully, catching one like that helps alleviate the pain of losing your rod/reel. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to have someone here of TFF hook into your rig and return it to you.
Congratulations on the Lunker, & Good Fishin', LlindeX

Yeah but if you throw them back then the next generation of fishermen can catch one that size maybe your sons or grand kids. If you keep them all there wont be any big fish left. Keep the small ones there are lots of thoughs.
