OK what should have been a good report post with lots of fish being caught is now going to become a temper tantrum.
got out about 6pm found fish @ 30 fished the drop off by the fisrt bouy, fished with a guy in a pontoon and all was good several good sandies and a few hybrids mixed in. no schooling, but at least a fish every 3-4 casts on humdingers. next thing i know here comes a red white ski boat with 1 fisherman and a smaller boat loaded with 3 guys. (both running big motors) right on top of the spoot we were throwing to (maybe 30yds) in front of us and started slabbing. completely cutting us off from the spot we'd been casting to for 30-45- mins. of course the active fish scattered.
next we checked the peanut area and found fish toward the end of the jetty, lots of boats but every one was well behaved untill the fish came up, woulndt u know it here comes the same 2 boats running wfo right up in the middle of a school of fish at least 1/4 acre in size. these fish were on a serious feed and would have stayed that way for a while had these retards not ran up in the middle of them with their gas motors.
ive been chasing sandies and hybrids on hubbard, tawak,cc, for years, and have seen all kinds of stupidity and bad manners, but what im seeing at hubbard here lately has got me hot.
varner....ruben.....jv4..... i know yall feel me on this one

it just seems this has gotten alot worse on hubbard in the last year or so. maybe the rockwall growth has something to do with it.

I always laugh at these people. They don't realize the fish can hear that motor. The more they chase, the more the fish move. I have had them blast in from nowhere too, I have gotten verbal with them a few times.

And here I thought all the idiots were on Lewisville only.Same thing happend out there today. A little surface action pointed the way to some nice sized sandies underneath them, so 6 or 8 boats fished in the same area with trolling motors only, that was fine 'til the trollers though they'd just run in between us all with the motors running. BYE BYE fish!!

it really bothers me too. It used to get me major frustrated. I have actually informed them politly of what they are doing wrong, and 80% take note. The other 20%.............well lets say it's wasted breath. I have a pontoon w/o a trolling motor yet. I just have to drift, but it is still fun. I will definatly wait until away from the fish to go "back up the hill" and drift again. Some time it bothers some, but most understand that I don't want to start the big motor and move while amongst the fish.

Crack of dawn most of those kinds are still waiting in line at Micky D's for their artery choking confections and glass of juice. They show up after the sun is high in the sky asking how I've done or doing as you describe running WOT thru a surfacing school. I will be up on Texoma next week and I expect being it is summer I will get this as well. Thank goodness it is a huge lake and there are pleanty of places to go to get away from it. Just wait till the temps fall come Oct/Nov and this will become less of an issue. Not die out completely, but lesson. I know it is hard to keep it under yer hat and not blast out your frustration, but if you did you are the better person for it. I try, but on occasion I am a smart a** as I leave. Too much Dutch/Irish mix pushing to the surface to contain it. lol

Varner is dead right. These guys rarely get on the lake, much less fish, so, you know, what can you expect? Fish early, get off the lake, don't fish weekends and summer holidays, fish AWAY from the MetroMess and look forward to fall - when they go hunting and off to watch football. Be cool, it ain't gonna make any difference anyway....

I was there the other day and I was next to a guy with a ski boat with no Trolling Motor and he would turn the big motor on and run thru the group and drift back thru. I got mad also. IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY TO BUY A STUPID SKI BOAT GET A TROLLING MOTOR.

Only positive suggestion I can think of is to get the TX numbers on the boat & send a written complaint about the unsafe/rude boating to TPWD. It seems that if they got enough complaints from different people on the same boat ID, they might have something they can do.

I've had my trolling motor [censored] out on me more than once. Then you drift and make BIG wide circle around everyone to keep from spooking the fish.

well i tell you buy you a bag of potato chips and crunch em all up then start throwing them in the water the birds will start diving on them and everyone will think it is fish and start their own boat party while you catch fish somewhere else by yourself
never tried it but i bet it will work.

Reading posts like this makes me glad I am out here in the sticks. If there was ever more than 50 boats on Arrowhead at one time I think it would be some kind of record.

never tried it but i bet it will work. Cheetos work the best! They float longer and the birds can see the orange color better from a distance. It is so funny . Folks will leave bitting fish to fly across the lake to "fish the birds" eating Cheetos.

Got my bag of Cheetos in the boat already after reading this. I've seen it work in salt water, actually fed the birds by hand with Cheetos off a party boat, don't see why it wouldn't work here.

never tried it but i bet it will work. About 20 years ago when I was in High school we use to love to do that. Wait in till everyone gets there then fire up the big motor and boog [censored]!! Thats funny I dont care who you are.

What might happen is the birds diving might attract the fish. If beating the water with an old broken rod will attract fish why not birds hitting the top.
