I am taking my 11 yr old grandson fishing Fri 07_18 and need a little info as to a few good areas to get into some cats and/or sand bass ect I have not been on this lake in about 35 years.
any info will be apprecated.

I would start at the rock point on the East end of the dam. If nothing there go to the West end of the dam.
Also would try rock bank on the west side between the boat ramp and the 67 bridge.
By then you will be looking for some shade, Under the 67 bridge. water is shallow getting there but once you get under the bridge there is plenty of water.

Thanks so much I have not been on this lake in about 35 years and then it was with my brother and bro in law for a short time. so I know nothing
Thanks for the info very much I will report on our trip when
get back hopefully I will have a very happy boy no matter what its the time together that counts. How is the boat ramp there on the east side I was by there in the spring just for a look see and seemed to be good shape .

the boat ramp is in good shape. has a courtesy dock, it does not have any lights though. you might also fish the dykes that protect the boat ramp early
