There are NO GREASE FITTINGS on my '99 Ford Explorer. It is a
6 cylinder, 4 wheel drive.
The Haynes manual says some Explorers have "plugs" that have to be removed and grease fittings installed.
The only "plugs" I see where a grease fitting should be look like plates of armor or the ends of close-fitting rivets! They don't look like they would budge with any amount of force. The small rivits on each side of the pivot arm are so close as to allow nothing to grip them to see if they could be pulled out, twisted out, whatever.
If anybody knows about how I can get grease into the joints of this vehicle, please let me know.
Thank you!
