got a 2005 Envoy that just had the check engine light come on..had the OBD 11 read at parts store and he says the code says.."High Fan Speed " didn't get the code number, but does anyone know what this means..he didn't

i think it means, Take in to Dealer and let Them Diagnose your whole Vehicle for lots of Money, TDTDVM, sounds like something you caught back in college. sorry i can't help, some one help this man!

most likely what you have is fan clutch that is stuck wide open. your envoy has an electronic fan clutch which is prone to going bad. i replace a few of them in recent years. very common problem

Thanks, someone told me if it was the stuck fan it would sound like a jet taking off.. I don't, as yet, have that noise..can you get a after market replacement or just a dealer item??
