2 Limits of Flounder taken by my friend Sean and I using his fan boat from our honey hole...don't ask where.

6 fish were right at 20 inches with the largest just over 21".
The rest where typical 16-18"
Here is Sean next to his boat and the prize stringer.

Am I handsome or what?

Money shot

Flounder populations are very strong, don't be misled by the CCA for thier polical views...its ALL politics and money.
With bay shrimp licences being bought back by the state, by catch is greatly reduced. You would not believe how much dead juvenile flounder are scraped overboard unless you have been up close and personel to see for youself.

In short, go get you some. Its you state, your waters and your right. Just respect the recource.

If you really want to go bad enoghe, and are responsible and mature and willing to split at least if not all the expsense,
send a PM to Flounder Hunter, ( 2 post above yours ). He wants to go this weekend and needs someone to help him harvest as he drives the boat. You must provide the tow vehicle but it is a chance to get in a real flounder fanboat for next to nothing as compared to hiring a guide. Its an experience you will never forget. As for me, I cannot devulge any info on where we are getting our fish on the net because every person with a fan boat will be on it like ants on sugar.

Hey fellow fishermen, I am Sean in the first picture of this thread.

I am looking for someone wanting to go out this weekend for a flounder gigging expedition. No charge, I only need a few things in return for a free gigging trip. I will need a someone to pick me up at Houston Hobby Airport, pick up boat in Friendswood only 1.5 miles off the I-45, and help putting it in the water. A place to lay my tired body down after a long night of sticking flounder. And a return trip to put the boat back in storage and drop off at airport. I can fly down after work on Friday or fly down Saturaday. It's really up to whoever want to take me up on the offer. I offer a professional gigging boat and all the flounder you can stick. upto 10 the limit per person.

I am 41 happily married and just love to fish. Please only looking for someone to share in the gigging experience with me. Email or PM with phone number and I will contact you as soon as I get your reply. My phone # starts with 214

man, my girlfriends parents live about 2 miles from hobby airport... and i'm going to rockport this weekend, but it would have been a perfect excuse to go to houston! they HATE me anyways, so i'm sure i could have gone fishing with no consequences! let me know when the run comes, i will meet you there, no lying, and i'll drive, and yeah, i can tow the boat, and buy the beer and food and well, probably give you more attention then the ol gal! i think your boat and my truck will be a match

LETS DO IT!
