My friends and I are taking a charter offshore and have 3 questions:
1. Is it worth going 35 miles out to get after the billfish or just go to the nearshore spots - like the platforms?
2. What can we expect to catch if we just go nearshore?
3. Any specific charter recommendations?

Thanks in advance. I will gladly return any info I can on Lighthouse Lakes fishing as that is my regular Port A spot.

kqt, which rigs did you fish? Tomorrow will be my last day here and I'm thinking about hitting a few of the rigs to try to hook up on some snapper

I fished rigs south of the jetties. Use live shrimp, if you use squid you won't do well. Snapper in shallow water feed on ghost shrimp and other shellfish.
