Has anyone used these or have any info on their performance?
I am looking at one because I was looking for a Citica and was told they are being discontinued. I am now using the round Garcias and a few Citicas. How does their performance compare with the Citicas?

I have two of them The black mid grade model, I think they are the SX model. out of the 30 or so reels I have, they are by far the best reel for the money I have owned.

rolfmao rolfmaoDo a search for them you will find all the info you need.

I would go with the higher end Revos though. I bought a Revo S and sold it the next day. That being said the STX and Premiers are awesome !!

You can't go wrong with any of the Revo's. Like my shimanos as well, but the Revo's are as smooth as they come.

I use to throw 5500c3 exclusively. What does the pic below tell you, that was only the beginning 18 months ago, it's worse now.

I will wait to convert until after the new Curados come out in September. For now my Shimano loyalty remains.

Naa, Rods were old honestly, but hot water and a SOS pad does wonders to your cork. I have to use a lot of sun block so my rods are nasty in just a month or so.

They are great reels. Cabela's has a model called the SC that they accasionally run for $79.99 and it's the best reel anywhere for the price. It's a great reel at $129, but a steal at $79.

EDIT - Looks like it went up $10 to $139. It's still a great reel.

The drag rating on theese is way up there at 24lbs,by far my favorite reel for a punch rig or heavy flippin.Havent tried the slow gear model for deep cranks but want to soon.

I have never liked Shimano's attitude and/or marketing so I was always an Abu round reel man. I now have two premiers and one stx and will buy more. Good luck on your search.

I used my new SX-HS yesterday in the CABA tournament. GEEZ, what a great reel! So smooth and fits in my hand very well. Unfortunately, I didn't catch anything on that particular reel. I caught everything on my old Citica's and Daiwa's. Next time!

I have the S, STX, premier and a winch and all of them are well worth the money. But the only thing I have to say is I wish the premier had as much drag as the STX

I've got a Revo S that I throw light crankbaits on, but I tied on a DD22 just as an experiment and retrieving it felt like it was pulling the guts out of the reel.
