I love the single boxes like these, but I have a CC and back where I keep my tackle boxes tends to get a little water at times..... and every one I have found lets water in with the lures and worms.... causing rust and just a pain.

I found these "waterproof" boxes, but before I go buy about 10 wanted to see if anyone had any experience with them and if they were worth it. The reviews I saw were mixed... some said great, others said terrible... Som im asking some people I trust smile

thanks in advance guys

I use them in the kayak. If I make sure to close all three of the clasps they do a good job. I land the fish right on top of where the boxes are so they get fairly wet. I use them also in my wading bag but I do not submerge them. I have a bad habit of only closing one or two clasps and they do not stay completely dry.

I've fallen for those "water proof" claims as well. I haven't any of the Plano 3740 boxes but I thought I might mention what I do with my stuff. I also have a CC. What I do is keep all my tackle in cooler that fits underneath the leaning post. Might be something to consider if you could accomodate something like that.

Not a bad idea, I guess a small cooler would fit where I planned on putting the boxe's.... then use the built in cooler for my boxes......hmmmm I think i just might try that! Thanks Holzer
