Maverick??? Maybe in 2000. Now he's driving the FlipFlop Express. Naw, he's just along for the ride .... Obammy is the actual pilot of The Flip/Flop Express! Its like BHO went to the Clinton School of Flip Flop and then made it bigger and wilder. I can't think of a single issue that Obamma hasn't taken both sides of in the last 18 months. And this from a guy that has served 136 days (actual days present) in the US Senate. Spin it however you'd like but McCain is a rank amateur at flipping when compared to Obamma! You should be quite dizzy yourself as much as you spin for the Libs!

Don't get me wrong, I like McCain. Was behind him 100% in 2000. But I gotta tell ya, the McCain of 2000 would in no way support the McCain of 2008. He is almost becoming unrecognizable on some of his stances. They are both flopping on the deck of political posturing. Whisper words are evolving stances, nuanced changes....

McCain is handicapped by having a record. Obama enjoys the position of having never done anything, so the when he takes both sides of an issue he is not going against what he has stood for in the past, for he has no past.
YOU have more hours on hold waiting for your cable/satellite tv company than Obama has hours in the senate. And yet somehow many fools think him qualified for an executive position. I just don't get it.

With Iraqi officials calling for a timetable of US military withdrawal, we'll see if McBush sticks to his words of 2004.
"Well, if that scenario evolves than I think it's obvious that we would have to leave because -- if it was an elected government of Iraq, and we've been asked to leave other places in the world. If it were an extremist government then I think we would have other challenges, but I don't see how we could stay when our whole emphasis and policy has been based on turning the Iraqi government over to the Iraqi people."

McCain = Bush = Clinton = Obama
They are all the same and are controlled by the same puppet master. It makes no difference which one is elected. America needs a revolution and a complete shift from the status quo.
Obama will be the next president, but it wouldn't make any difference if it was McCain.
Obama, Bush and McCain probably all meet and private and give each other high fives for making 90% of the American people THINK they have a "choice".

As 777 said, when it comes right down to it, the "elected officials" can clearly see the little line that runs down that gunbarrel in their face the minute we leave. Then what?

I doubt you will see him change his position on this. If the Iraqui's feel they can go it without us,great. But I believe they would still want a US prescense their for support if they got in trouble. I'm all for a calculated and honorable removal of our forces from harms way,not Obama's cut and run.

every election and every candidate people get aggitated or are suprised when a candidate shifts position on a issue or does something they said they wouldnt.
Its all about the votes!! no one in national politics has ever been above it, including McCain. What a candidate claims during an election is never completely followed through with after they are elected. Especially when they are about campaign slogans and general ideas with no specific plans, like Obama.

Kind of makes you wonder what either one of these guys really stands for, doesn't it? Yes. Sad. McCain's followers are few, and Obama's followers blind.
