That's outstanding. I have only seen small blues come from GT. Where were you bank fishing? Out of one of the parks?

Forgot to mention, it is 26"( the igloo is 20"), when it struck, I thought I caught a big bass. shocked Took me a while to pull him in.

Nice catch 08.
Thinking about trying Georgetown this weekend. Havn't had much luck fishing for cats but caught a few crappie earlier in the year.

I caught some good size crappies early this year while fishing in overlook park, but after March, they probably all move to shallow. Never tried crappie fishing since then.
I saw people caught 2-3 lb blue cat in that cove to the west of the park entry though. Good luck!

I too have fished Lake Georgetown with limited success, so seeing that boy makes me want to try it again. Thanks for the motivation.

I fished Granger this weekend and had a blast with cats ranging from 1 to 4 pounds. Granger is about twenty minutes from Georgetown and a nice option for catfish. Georgetown admits to low numbers on their website so I quit going there for cats and going to pull the kids around behind the boat.

Mike, email me when your headed that way and I will try to meet up with you. Leave your boat, I fish a pontoon and will fit anywhere the 12' johns will lol. No shortage of cats there.
