Howdy, I just found this place yesterday, and I am glad I did because I have been looking for a Texas Fishing Forum! I am from San Antonio, but I live in Del Rio, having just finished USAF pilot training. I dabble in bass fishing here at Lake Amistad, but nothing compares to saltwater! I have spent my whole life going to Rockport, where we have a house.

I spent a week there last week and the fishing sucked for the most part. However, we recently got an offshore boat and made our first unchartered trip offshore! I spent the whole week getting things ready and the weather gave us enough of a break on Saturday to go out and catch a dorado and 3 kings, plus a few fish that got away. Anyways, see ya'll around!

Stationed by the Blue Jewel...it must be nice. I am up here at Lackland. I am not too far away, I manage to get down there to Amistad about once a month. I am currently retraining in USAF Combat Control....only a few months left, after nearly a year and half of training!! :-), Anyways I fish down at Port Aransas every chance I get. I only have a 19 ft Blue Wave, but the weather let up for us last week as well and we managed to get into a mess of Kings too. Welcome to the forum
