Evening time the fish have moved into the thermacline. Humps and breaklines at 25-30' held fish last Friday. Main lake points like Dogleg or Ferguson, humps near Pelican island and old 287 roadbed were holding fish.
After dark, I have done well at the 309 flats. Position in deep water and cast a Rat-L-Trap up on the shelf and slow, steady retrieve right down the slope. Watch for the 14" hybrids. They're mixed in with big sandies.

I've found some recently up the Richland arm. Get on the south side and look for a house with palm trees. Fish the points late evening near that house. Chrome slabs, Rat L Traps, even small topwaters. Good luck, let us know how you come out.

If you spot schooling fish top water action is to much fun, find the birds even if its just one driving and catching bait, you can slab, humdinger, if they are not on the top of the water and there seems to be a mix of hybrids and sandies and some really nice sandies too! Fishing is the slopes deeper water you are libal to pull up some big crappie and a few nice cat fish, perfect eating size...tight lines my buddy!
