I want to get the best pick's out of my new lowrance and now i can get better detail than the factory settiings were is a good place to start with my settings?

Go to the menu and adjust the sensitivity. Also, you can manually set the depth range and zoom.

I leave everything on factory setting except depth range. You just have to play with it a lot to learn it.

You might try the downloadable upgrade off there website, seemed to help mine quite a bit. Just need a blank sd card and reader/writer.
