First time to this lake yesterday evening, night. I live in Midlothian and usually go to Richland Chambers. Navarro Mills is a little closer decided to try it. Put out around 20 jugs different depths, baited with live Gold Fish and Worms. Spur of the moment trip so I decided to just buy some bait and get a few lines out. Didnt really venture off of the main lake too much. What I saw of the lake looked good before it got dark. Couldnt resist catching a few sandies either. But only two small Channels on worms nothing at all on Goldfish. Lines were out for three or four hours. I guess I need to get farther back in the lake. I think I will give it a try again though for Crappie and Catfish. Any suggestions on Navarro Mills?

i have never fished for catfish there but i have talked to a couple of people who say they fish there at the damn, behind the damn, in the cove of the first state park (closest to the damn).

If you google Navarro Mills Lake you will find a link to the marina for this lake. On their website you will find a link to another website that has a map of this lake and some good fishing spots...looks like the fishing is good on the opposite of the lake where the creeks join the lake
