We have to meet some day, John. You think like me. My wife, dogs (3), and the little cabin on the lake are now ours, along with a 18 month old granddaughter, another one coming in a month, my son getting married next spring. Family. Those are the blessings that define me. Not things. Certainly! Things are disposable niceties.

My sister has a friend named "Jane". Over July 4th weekend Jane called me looking for my sister wanting someone to hang out with. Ok, so I felt a little sorry for Jane and I go over and pick her up. Heck, we had a ton of food and how bad can a person be (my sister warned me Jane was a succubus). We hung out, cooked, chatted, watched the fireworks, etc. I did not feel like getting out in the traffic to drive her home, so I asked if she wouldn't mind staying the night. No problem, but she had to be home at 9am the next day to go to church. I take her home the next morning and she realizes it's Saturday versus church Sunday. She asked me if I wouldn't mind coming in and and looking at her computer as it has been acting "funny". Ok, still no biggie. After tinkering around with it - I concluded it needs a fresh install. She didn't really need it and I would take it home to work on it. So Jane calls on Sunday night wanting to come over. I had a hellacious day and just wanted to chill out (with people who knew I wasn't in a bad mood - just tired). She asks me to call her Monday. I wake up and see she has called me first thing Monday morning - left a msg that she wants to put me down as an employer on her resume for the past 2 1/2 years she has not worked. I am not comfortable with doing that. She calls again around noon, leaves another msg and is rather demanding that I call her back with my company info so she can list it on her resume. I'm like WTH??? She calls again last night leaving a msg that I call her back immediately. My mind finally takes a break from work and the light finally goes off and what type of person she is. I slap myself thinking "Great, not another one". She can't hold a job, live on her own and has every illness known. She's 43. I have a huge heart, but have had to de-magnetize myself from people like this through years of the hub and I being screwed over financially, emotionally, etc. Obviously Jane has mental issues and I hope this does not turn into a stalking issue. If so, I may have to call OF as back up Anyone want a new "friend"?!?!?!

"Jane" sounds like a woman I need to get to know better. Is she dating? I specialize in difficult, complex women.

From my understanding, you better have a lot of minutes on your cell, be prepared to have her move in with you (she is currently living with the father of her 18 year old daughter, but had grandiose plans to move to Haltom City) and buy her a car. As far as cooking and cleaning - can't say....

There are some people in this world who I dont think can ever be "happy". They are not happy unless the have something to biotch and complain about. Therefore meaning that can never be totally trruely happy. Is there anyone like that on this forum?

Lucky for him he has been a fan of the Texas Rangers for their entire exsistent, so he has had that little gem to complain abouyt for YEARS!!! I have another firend that isnt ever happy no matter what, he get a rebate check and complains because he has to figure out where to spend the money...I mean, really???? I guess I am th opposite way, I am happy for the sake of being happy usually....Athough my bitching about someone bitching is kinda the whole point of this post isnt it??? Damn I am turning into my old man..... SHUT UP (plug in Rynes favorite word) _ _ _ _ _

I have a cousin that is only happy if he can complain...One night, he and a buddy went to my uncle's property to hunt hogs...The next door neighbor had placed out a nice Christmas scene (this was in late November/early December)...This scene apparently played music and it annoyed my cousin...Now my uncle's property is 130 acres and the music wasn't up loud enough to be heard even half an acre away.... When my cousin complained saying it bothered him and his buddy all night, my uncle said, 'good it's doing it's job...It's bringing joy to the kids next door and giving you something to complain about.' I still laugh about that one... Personally, I don't understand the joy in constantly complaining, but it seems some can't figure out how to just be content....

I once thought happiness ment owning expensive cars and a large house. It brought nothing but worries. Therefore I was never happy. I bought my little slice of heaven on a hill in the country 5 miles from Lake Travis. I sold the big house, the BMW and am selling off everthing I don't use on a daily or weekly basis. I am going to build a 1000 sq ft cabin on my six acres and live the way I have always wanted to. I love my 2001 F150 and my 1995 18 ft ProCraft because they are paid for. I finally found a woman that likes to live very modest.

She loves to go out on the boat an relax and take pictures of me fishing. She says just being on the boat with me makes her happy. I guess that cuts down on tackle. She can also back down the trailer and go park the truck. I think she is a keeper.

I'm always amazed at how many men won't let their wives back the truck or off load the boat from the trailer or pull the truck/trailer into a parking spot...My mom was always the one who controlled the boat (unless she was skiing) when I was a kid...

Being 45 and never married I found it hard to find a woman that made me compelete and happy. I have 5 basics rules. 1 Food 2 Sleep 3 Quite time 4 Don't treat me like a girl. I don't want to hear gossip that's what your girlfriends are for. 5 Sex Men are simple creatures don't complicate our lives by talking about feelings an relationships...follow the above rules and you will have a happy man.
