Sound trout were easy pickins, we would go to the second sand bar and bam!! there they were. But my son learned how to catch shad in the throw net early in the morning and thats what we caught shark on.Kinda scary thinkin I just caught a 3' shark in 3'of water, right where we were swimmimg!! Lots of fun!!
seabrook kemah flats good every single morning never misses a beat as along as it doesnt rain but this morning it was thundering so i didnt even roll out of bed. Also got chased off the water by a water spout not a mile away and got stung by a jelly fish. Wear neoprene waders but its easy catching for trout reds and flounder.
not for me, water was too rought to fish. I was so bumbed about it too. but i did eat a place were the locals go, and man! it was go......people go eat at shrimp n stuff. they have some good eats and cheap cheap cheap....my family of 4 ate there for only $23

Caught more fish in the surf than anywhere else.Did 1 bay trip and also the jeddys, the trick was live shad caught in the surf early and hang on.Caught lots of shark and sand trout!!Good fun. Can't wait till next year.
I fished the 91st street pier on saturday and it was fun catching whiting, sand trout, hardheads and sharks. I saw some spanish mackerel being caught under a cork. I hardly ever go saltwater fishing but had a fun day of catching and not just fishing.
God job chuck I've been back for a month now, and glad to see you had fun and they're still biting!!!Me too I only go once a year but it's so different, because something will always pull you're line in the OCEAN!
