Were can I find a better guide to fish ID then the fishing regulation book. I look online and they still look pretty much the same.

The sandies have a golden color stripe and the hyb. has a black thicker line and fights twice as hard .

The difference in stripes to body color seem to be greater with hybrids/stripers. Real dark and real light. Whites have more subdued lines and a yellowish tint. Like sasquatch said, when in doubt, chunk um back. TPWD will check the tooth patch.

A hybrid will have more broken stripes, real stripers will have solid stripes going down the sides. Striper's teeth are two ridges. Thats what i usually look for.
