There are a few small caves in the sand stone bluffs, but nothing big enough for people to fit into.

I heard there is one in the Southlake area of the lake. From what I hear it is not very big.

There is a cave on the north shore bluffs. It is called Sam Bass cave and it is big enough to get inside.I lived in Flower Mound until a few years ago and one of my son and I went in it several times. One of the roads off 1171 that dead ends takes you close to it,but I don't remember the exact one.

I think it might be off of High Road.

But yep..it's there. It's been years since I went in it.

The only 1 I know of is on the South shore, close to the Sabre towers. It's not really a cave, but is a hollow in the hill/cliff. This about 3/4 of mile past the Ole Catfish hut on the left side. I don't believe the homeowner above is very fond of people exploring the area any.

Sam Bass cave is on the Southlake side of the lake, We would run a muck all over that shore line back in the late 80's and early 90's when we would skip school at Southlake. We would hide in there when our cross country coach would look for us.
