So, it has been said many times on this forum that Jason is rediculously nice. Scary, in fact. Some of us have wondered if he is secretly a serial killer.

Anyway, the point is that Jason is constantly doing nice things for many of us, but never allows us to repay him. Until tonight...

...but he really had no choice.

Way back in April, when he picked me up in Athens and took me down to Emma, I came up with an idea...a surprise birthday party. On that session, I ran it by Justin, who loved it. At the May Fork Fish-In, I got his parents and Eva on board.

Next, I got Chad on board, since Eva thought we should have it at Rockfish.

Then came the PM thread. Now, I don't send pm's out to a ton of people and didn't think I had the ability to do so. So...I got Justin to send out a mass pm about the party. He did, but there was a HUGE problem...

He also sent it to Jason.

So, in the middle of the night, me and a couple of others scramble to get him to change the pm to a drunken rant. It worked, and after much suspicion, I came to the conclusion that Jason had no clue about the party.

Somehow, we managed to hide this party from Jason since the end of May. I don't know how we did it, but it worked out to be awesome.

Of course, not knowing about this shin-dig, Jason threw some wrenches into my plans, but Eva and I handled everything he threw at us.

Several of us met at Rockfish tonight and waited for Jason. Some of his family and other friends were there and we watched him come in. The funny thing was that he noticed his brother sitting there, and you could almost see the gears turning. As he walked around the corner and saw us sitting there, the look on his face was priceless.

We had a great dinner and it was good to see everybody. I tried to get as many people as I could to contribute to a book that I made for Jason, and it turned out to be pretty awesome.

Jason had no idea, and that's what counted the most. I am now number one on his list of people to kill, but that's ok. He always falls asleep before I do when we go fishing and doesn't wake up easily! rolfmao

He just better be glad that our plans to kidnap him got derailed. That would have been really awesome.

Anyway, thanks to Eva and Chad for helping me plan this thing. It was truly a "tremendous success!" Thanks to everybody that came out and contributed to the book.

I will post pics and the video of Jason walking in and realizing what was happening tomorrow, but I am absolutely spent tonight.

What a great night. Jason, you deserved all of it and happy birthday.

EXCELLENT! Very glad to hear it went so well! I sent Jason a text from the concert saying Happy Birthday, but this time I waited till I was sure he was supposed to see it, lmao.

Jason, sorry I couldn't be there as well man, but I'd had previous plans for the 6th for the last four months hehe, so it just didn't work out.

Hope you liked the book, and happy birthday!

Krista, thanks for all the hard work!

And yeah...I really did send the initial PM about the party to Jason as well! And I wasn't even drinking ( Much ) lol.

I was just so used to including Jason on LSCB PMs, that I'd always start them by clicking his name and hitting PM, since his was the only one I couldn't spell on my own lmao.

Luckily he goes to bed early, so I came back later at night to lots of PMs calling me nasty names, and was able to edit the WHOLE thing, including title, to make it look as though I'd just been off on a drunken rant about something, and everyone else was able to play along hehehe.

Awesome.

Awsome that I wasn't on the list of recipents for this lot of LSCB PM's.

Glad it worked out and Jason had a good time.

Yeah, Scott, I realized too late you were not on the list lol. Sorry about that!

But that was the list that I sent first, that list that also included Jason lmao. Before I could send a new one, since I had screwed it up, Krista took over, and sent out the new mass PM to everyone, so I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to who all she had sent it too and figured she just had everyone, yourself included. I heard Chad was able to send you an invite though after our mistakes.

Krista, so how many people showed up total?

i thought we all had tremendous success. it's eva, the wifey. jason is fishing because of part of his surprise and now wont be by a computer for a while. lol. it turned out to be a great POWW! the funny part about it is that jason has a tiny seed planted in his head early on by chad and it was jason's idea to go out to eat that night to visit chad. great planning! great to see everyone... and meet the wonderful faces and spouses too. eva

seriously Jason there is a novel going in the PM's I would have been there..in fact I showed up once but it was the wrong date!
happy birthday! thanks for all you have done for our group! you and your family have gone way above and beyond!

Scott, you would be at the top of my party list! just make sure you bring that peach heffi! smile smile

gonna climb up on a soap box for a minute.....

Scott detractors need to lighten up, I deemed him foghorn leghorn...and he embraced it...he is what he is an amazing angler that has always been willing to help the brigade and promote carp angling in Texas he has worked at the craft harder then most and has some amazing success as a result, he may not always come across the right way in fact at times he can seem to be a real [censored]..but we can all be a bit assy...thats a required trait for carp anglers I think.....

Scott's a friend of mine,

watch this next clip and just imagine its about the hair rig....
