man im having a hard time getting her off the trailer i got to have my buddy bump me off with the brake

Powerwash your trailer bunks , check any rollers for free movement

Are you backing the trailer ALL of the way into the water first to get the bunks fully wet, then pulling pulling forward so the boat floats off the trailer?

I used to have the same problem. Spray your bunks with silicon spray and let it dry. Your boat will slide right off. Lasts a long time too. I treated mine 2 1/2 years ago an my boats still slides off fairly easily.

Be very careful with the silicone. Make sure to always keep the boat buckled when on the trailer and no water under it. I have heard/seen a few boats sitting on concrete because of sprayed bunks and not hooking the front up.

Just keep backing up she will float off the trailer. The silicone works but be careful!

Back it in further and gas on it.

Judd is right,keep boat buckled down till in the water. You can back boat in the water untill it floates up some then look and see where it is just off of the trailer and spray from there forward. This way you still have some friction in the back to help hold the boat on when not in the water.

If you are having problems unloading your boat by yourself do what I do. First get a good heavy rope (at least 30ft), connect one end to the front eyelet on your boat and the other end to a heavy anchor, set the anchor in the bed of your pick up along with the extra rope, back the boat into the water until you are sure it is floating and then stop go to the back of your truck and get the anchor and pull your boat back to shore. It is very quick and easy once you get the hang of it and you will not be tying up the ramp so other boaters can launch and load.

as mentioned before, becareful and leave your boat latched to the strap with a bit of slack. i saw some guy with a 30ft baja who thought it would stay on the trailer with out the strap, well, the boat slid off and got stuck sideways agaisnt another truck halfway down the ramp it was quite a site, he used silicon on the bunks. but yeah, try the silicon. haha, i've even heard of people putting bearing grease on the bunks.

I have a Skeeter SX190. I launch by myself all the time and use the line-and-anchor method described, though I hook the anchor around the winch post.

Then I just tied the boat off to the dock, backed the boat in and hit the brake, drove to park my boat, came back to the dock pulled the boat over and left.
Now my saleman told me to BE SURE the back of the boat was in water before unhooking from the trailer as he had several customers install these and drop their boat on the ramp!!

Don't have that problem now...I've got a Bullet so light it floats off the trailer no problem.....

Hello,

Just tell me which type of boat trailer you had used. I could then suggest you, as we( Boat Owners) normally uses non commercial boat trailers, and if this is the story you should have to go for some bypass valve.
