We packed the family up and headed north to Kansas City to visit some family for a long holiday weekend. We just got back in town today. I have a lot of catching up to do on the TFF today.

I got to do a little fishing with my BIL on Blue Springs Lake just outside of KC for about 3 hours. We caught about a dozen nice channel cats and had a nice fish fry Saturday night. This was his first time to try Secret 7 dip bait and his first time to catfish this lake. We fished for about 3 hours and got all of our fish on our third spot in shallow timber on the edge of a creek channel. Biggest fish was about 8 lbs.

We stopped for an hour or so in Grove, OK on the way home to meet with Jeff and family from Team Catfish and pick up some bait and other goodies. The kiddos had a great time playing and stretching their legs and I enjoyed talking catfish and bait of all things with Jeff.
