just came home
the sea weed is horrible
and i can accept lots of what nature offers
you can pretty much forget surf fishing
i tried top waters, jigs & spoons
if it did not foul your hook it hung up on your line

caught 1 trout in the Lydia Ann Channel on a mirrolure that looks like a croaker

i did get a nice seaweed exfoliation on my skin though

I'm also headed down there tomorrow. Been a couple of years since I've been down there. Is Charlies Pasture pier unfishable or what? That is where we usually fish alot when we go down there. Don't know very many places down there to fish other than Horace Caldwell pier, the jetties, and Charlies Pasture pier. Any help or recommendations would be appreciated. Kinda new to the salt water fishing ordeal. Spend all my time bass fishin up here in north texas.

thanx....
